Barcelona:Cesc? No. Adriano?Yes. More or less.
A fast ramble in the transfer jungle today. Rosell pointed out that the shirt designed for Cesc didn’t fit him well after Pique and Puyol helped him to try it. And because the club is broke, there won’t be enough funds to sew another one for him this season. Also, the way the previous board (of course where there is Sandro, there is Damn you Laporta) dealt with this transfer publicly made the deal impossible. Chief Sandro would have never done this mistake! In a less-Ramzi-c rambling: Cesc may not sign for Barca this summer. No shit! Well then the silly circus show will be extended for one more year. Check your Xanax packs, you will need it.
Adriano Correia to Barcelona. I didn’t see it coming. But for the type of versatile players he is, that’s a bargain for 10 Million. He already told Sevilla he want to seek a new challenge and Milan were close. I think the fact that Sevilla have many players on the flanks played a role to make this transfer possible. Felipe flips again?
Adriano will boost the depth of the squad. He can serve as Alves back up. HE can play on the left back which will give crises options for other departments: Abidal as a Center back and Maxwell as a holding midfielder, midfielder or wing. Adriano can also play on the wing. This will also inspire the tabloids their following rumor, read it hear first: Adriano was not signed to play as a fullback, but as a left wing with Villa playing as a forward, Ibra will be loaned out to Xerez.
Adriano's aggression and potentials fits Barca well. A good signing. A utility player who can function and strength many departments. Exactly what the club needs.
There at Barcelona, they are also interested in Javi Martínez. This is good news though it won’t come cheap nor it will be easy to seal. So we can let it there and wait. Though, there was that other German who could have been a nice acquisition for 10 M (as rumored) even for a world cup performer. But now that he is in Madrid, look somewhere else.
Marquez is leaving as it seems to be. Which cast some doubts regarding the depth in the CB position. Sure there are good youth, but with Barcelona Athletic (Barcelona B now) playing in the second division, Is it better to promote them for the first team to play handful games or keep them where they are to play more?

Oh I forgot, that picture is AMAZING!
I don't really see what Adriano adds that Maxwell doesn't. They are similar players - both will like to cover for Alves, Abidal, and midfield positions, so playing time might be hard for one of them. Barcelona still needs a DM, and I'm not really sure if that is what Javi Martinez is. I am happy to know that Barca have been doing something since the Villa transfer though!
"I have another four years of my contract," recalled Ibrahimovic, who ironically wanted to "send a greeting to those who spread these rumors." And Barca striker does not understand why they are speaking of his possible departure from the Nou Camp: "I congratulate all those who have used my name, because it's fun being in Chelsea, Manchester City, and so on, without having been there "
thats a witty reply from Ibra.
If Rafa leaves, or he doesn't still we need a CB
for me we are a CB less.
1&2. Puyol & Pique
3. Milito
4 MISSING
5 Rafa
Can we put much trust on someone like Fontas in his first season to play as a solid CB. I don't think so, I want to have them gel into the team slowly rather than getting thrown at an early stage in their career.
Or is he ready to play as a reliable CB?
P.S My first comment on your blog! :D
I believe in Fontas, and I think he is ready to make the Pedro/Busquets jump to the first team. 8 players (including Adriano and Fontas) are enough for 4 positions I think. Adriano/Maxwell/Marquez can be players who cover the midfield too. Marquez can play as a DM and a CM because of his passing skills. Adriano played just as much on the Wing as he did in defense during his time in Sevilla, so I think he can cover the midfield and wings. Maxwell can be an emergency player for the wings and DM. If Marquez does leave, Barcelona NEED to buy another DM (preferably one that is creative). Perhaps Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Javi Martinez, or Banega would be good buys. I just want to see adequate subs for Busquets and Xavi.
